I just finished teaching a 3-week summer film workshop in association with Looking Glass Arts. The workshop took a group of high school filmmakers and actors through a full production process: writing to storyboarding to shooting+ lighting to editing and scoring.

Everyone involved is pretty amazing - especially the student filmmakers who are an amazingly bright, talented, creative group of people.

Through and through, they made some wonderful short films. I loved working with them and hope they all stay in touch.

Over the weekend we participated in a photoshoot for the Donnybrook Writing Academy directed by our talented and charming friend, photographer and artist Nina Barry. The shoot was a blast and the resulting photos are rather attractive, if we say so ourselves (you can see them here). James Darling was in town with his fancy new HD Camera and shot this great time lapse of one of the setups. Josh threw it together with a spot of music, popped it online and here we are — Enjoy!

This is Zeus. He’s a dachshund maltese mix. He’ll come running over to the piano from anywhere in the house when Tasha’s singing anything operatic, joining in and wagging his tail. He’s just a little musical.
