We are dedicated to the production of high-quality, innovative films and commercial works that are both dazzling to the eye and inspiring to the imagination. Our works in film, commercials, music video and documentary are sharp, appealing and unmistakably unique.

A subsidiary of Creative Bureau Inc., an advertisting and graphic design firm with a solid 20-year reputation, Floating Lightbulb Films carries on a tradition of high standards and ingenuity in both our work and client relationships.

Josh Shayne is an award-winning writer/director and the creator of Floating Lightbulb Films. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, his films and commercial works have garnered much acclaim.

Some of his previous credits include the films, Lei Parla Amore? (Do You Speak Love?); Le Voyeur” (which aired on IFC in 2007); and, most recently, Tempting Charles Warner.” His film NYU and YOU is screened every year for the incoming class of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

His many accolades include the prestigious Russell Hexter Grant for excellence in Filmmaking (2005); New York University’s Faculty Commendation in Directing (2006); and “the Best New Director” of Cinema Classics Filmmaker Showcase (2004). He was also the 2001 recipient of the Creative Bureau Inc. Grant - a full academic scholarship. His films have been screened in various film festivals from coast-to-coast.

His latest film, Tempting Charles Warner is just entering the film-festival circuit. It was handpicked by NYU faculty for development from among 90 competing projects. The film was made possible by a monetary award from NYU, privately donated funds, the Russell Hexter Filmmaker Grant and full access to University film and studio equipment. The film was shot entirely on location in New York City and the Hamptons.

Tempting Charles Warner has already begun to receive lots of attention. It was recently awarded highly-competitive prizes for directing, and was nominated for cinematography and sound design awards at the NYU First Run Film Festival.

Mr. Shayne is currently developing projects for both film and theatre.
